The challenge in designing a flexible production test system is to provide a software architecture which allows quick test application development for many different products. Utilizing TestStand™ and LabVIEW™ test sequences developed for one product can be easily migrated to support the development of many new products.
By abstracting the instrument drivers and building configurable step types in TestStand™, the system can support a variety of test hardware configurations and allows dynamic configuration of test parameters. The end result is a flexible production test system that meets the ever-changing requirements of today’s manufacturing environment.
