Spotlight - Multiple Kill Vehicle

Lockheed Martin Space Systems’ Multiple Kill Vehicle destroys enemy ballistic missiles, along with any countermeasures deployed, by ramming into them at several times the speed of sound. The Multiple Kill Vehicle System Test Console (MKVSTC) is a configurable hardware and software system to test the vehicle control units using various interface test adapters (ITA). Self test ITA with self test software is used to verify that the hardware is functional before testing the actual UUT. The Self-test adapter provides 100% functional stimulus, response, and switching wrap around for test station hardware verification and confidence checking. The self test is a comprehensive test and capable of isolating a fault to board/channel/relay if detected. As different interface adapters can be used with the test console different engineering groups can test their units with their respective ITA’s.
